September 2009 - Ready for Go Live!! Ampath Laboratories are ready to go live with their energy saving lighting control.
Schneider Electric SA appointed Green Wave Automation to implement the latest in lighting control at Ampath Laboratories new head office in centurion. DALI Lighting control (dimmable automated lighting installation) is one of the latest technologies used to reduce energy consumption through intelligent control. Dimmable luminairy fittings (light fittings) supplied by Tridonic are controlled by Schneider Electrics TAC building management system. Automated control of lights is achieved by using Clipsal C-Bus sensors that send signals when sufficient natural light is available. The TAC system then dimms the lights accordingly, increasing energy savings even when the area is occupied. When the area is vacant the sensor sends a signal to turn off the lights.
Result: Only areas occupied will have lights on and even then, savings will be achieved!
Daylight harvesting will increase savings while areas are occupied...
